 Water ozonation technology is a unique water sterilization and disinfection technology that eliminates the dosing of preservatives and chemicals into water. The system allows to achieve a reduction in the source water: turbidity, color, iron, manganese, organic contaminants, total organic carbon, organophosphorus compounds, organochlorine compounds, surfactants, phenols, petroleum products, ammonium nitrogen, nitrites, complex compounds of heavy metals. Thanks to ozonation water - pollutants are oxidized, coagulated and rendered insoluble, after which they can be filtered out.

 Water ultrafiltration technology - is a baromembrane process, which consists in the fact that liquid under pressure is “squeezed” through a semi-permeable membrane_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-fc5 The size of the openings (pores) of ultrafiltration membranes ranges from 5 nm to 0.1 µm. The main difference between ultrafiltration membrane technology and conventional volumetric filtration is that all contaminants  do not accumulate on the membrane surface, but are washed into the sludge by the backwash flow. Membrane ultrafiltration is also intended for pre-treatment of water before reverse osmosis and ion exchange plants, it is used for purification from suspended, colloidal, microbiological and organic compounds. The use of ultrafiltration plants makes it possible to minimize the dose of coagulant and its amount in wastewater, as well as to design a water treatment system that practically does not have to be reconfigured or equipped with additional equipment in case of fluctuations in the qualitative and quantitative composition of the source water.

Ozonation of water simultaneously with the dosing of coagulant stimulates the formation of flocculation and significantly increases the efficiency of coagulation. This is because molecules of dissolved organic compounds, partially oxidized by ozone, are more susceptible to coagulation. In a number of cases, thus, it is possible to achieve effective coagulation of substances completely incapable of this process without ozone treatment. Filtration of flakes obtained as a result of coagulation using ultrafiltration membranes is the simplest and most reliable way to mechanically purify water after the use of a coagulant. This method is incomparably more efficient than settling, filtration or contact coagulation, since the size of filtered particles in this case is several orders of magnitude smaller. This allows you to significantly reduce the process time, the dimensions of the installation and increase its efficiency. This effect is achieved due to reliable filtration of that part of the flakes that does not sink, but floats up due to trapped gas microbubbles, or are located in the water column. A similar situation is observed with the effect of flotation - water purification from suspended, colloidal and dissolved organic substances due to their adhesion to the surface of gas bubbles. In conventional pressure skimmers, the bubbles rise to the surface, dragging impurities into the resulting foam layer. However, the smallest submicron bubbles, which are most effective for the cleaning process, rise very slowly or do not rise at all due to Brownian motion. Such bubbles, formed during the oxidation of dissolved organic compounds with ozone and during the release of dissolved gas, are easily retained by the membrane along with adsorbed impurities. At the same time, they are completely useless in a traditional skimmer.

 

Description of the stages of the recycled water treatment system for car washes:

  1. Centrifugal filtration - purification of source water from suspended particles using the process of separating suspensions by centrifugation in a perforated centrifuge.

  2. Water flotation plant with the addition of coagulants is a process of oxidation, clarification and discoloration of water using ozone, chemical coagulants, which, when interacting with hydrosols and soluble water impurities, form flakes and sediment.

  3. Water ozonation plant in contact and storage tanks - the process of ozone oxidation of dissolved organic compounds, hydrogen sulfide, iron and manganese to insoluble compounds, water disinfection, with a foam separation system.

  4. Ultrafiltration plant - removal of formed colloidal particles and flakes, suspended and insoluble oxidation products, with periodic pulsed backwashing.

  5. Clean water storage tank system with periodic ozonation.

  6. Dirty water settling system - for natural settling of suspended particles.
