Today's intensive fisheries, along with the growing demands for food products, has led to industrial fish farming to become one of the main components of the food industry. Large ecological systems of fresh or sea water with optimal habitat for aquatic animals are required. Oxidation of water with ozone is the ideal way to ensure the required water quality. Water in fish farms and aquariums can be contaminated with viruses, bacteria and parasites. In addition, due to the high density and homogeneity of fish populations, the level of contamination of water bodies increases.

When water is ozonized by RAS (recirculating water supply installations), water, feed and fish are simultaneously disinfected. At the same time, water is saturated with oxygen, all organic and inorganic substances are oxidized, and dissolved oxidized substances are precipitated at the filtration stage. For the safety of others in the work area, the residual ozone in the exhaust gas is destroyed by the ozone destructor.

Ozone is ideal for process water treatment in closed systems. The main advantage of this technology over other cleaning methods is the environmentally friendly operation of ozone systems. No chemicals are added to the water, while the water retains its natural characteristics.

Ozonizers have been used for many years in fish farms in water bodies with different characteristics. During disinfection with ozone, microorganisms are inactivated as a result of an oxidative reaction between ozone and the carrier of genetic information (DNA) of the pathogenic organism. The pathogenic organism loses its ability to reproduce and dies.

Ozone treatment systems are economical and require virtually no maintenance.
